DENSO Industrial Spark plugs DENSO developed the Iridium Saver range that combines the performance benefits of iridium technology and environmental benefits. It is a high-efficiency longer-life spark plug for gas engines. They have now produced the DENSO Double Iridium (DDI) spark plug.
DENSO Iridium Saver - Iridium alloy pad is located on the centre electrode and platinum pad located on the ground electrode. These two pads help to provide excellent wear resistance compared to conventional spark plugs
- 360o laser welding joins the iridium tip to the centre electrode which ensures reliability even in extreme engine conditions
- Ceramic plug body with finer grain moulded under high pressure. The high density prevents electrical breakdown of insulator
- High reliability for withstanding high combustion pressures by incorporating a stress resistant 5k monolithic resistor between the central electrode and the surrounding wall adheres to the resistor glass. This also eliminates interference to electronic equipment from high energy coil noises.
- Features powder sealing, Hot lock, special nickel plating on the plug thread creates a barrier layer that provides better corrosive resistance for condensed acid water
- Reduced maintenance costs, extended plug life
DENSO Iridium Saver Performer - Iridium alloy pad with cross groove cut into the iridium centre electrode tip enhances spark performance and lowers the discharge voltage. This reduced discharge voltage results in increased operating hours over a SAVER plug
- Easier firing as the cross groove on the iridium alloy centre electrode creates 4 ‘mini tips’ that fire more readily than one large tip
- Better spark as the cross groove design strengthens the field intensity of the electrode
- Lower required voltage and as a result better performance and durability
- Longer life as a result of the cross groove electrodes
DENSO Iridium Saver DDI - Double iridium alloy pads are located on both the centre electrode and the ground electrode. The two pads improve wear resistance by minimising spark gap expansion
- Convergence laser welding fix the iridium alloy pad securely on the ground electrode which delivers high reliability in high temperature combustion engines
- Copper core ground electrode increases the heat transfer which results in lower temperatures and improved plug life
- High reliability for withstanding high combustion pressures by incorporating a stress resistant monolithic resistor between the central electrode and the surrounding wall adheres to the resistor glass. This also eliminates interference to electronic equipment from high energy coil noises.
- Features powder sealing, Hot lock, special nickel plating on the plug thread creates a barrier layer that provides better corrosive resistance for condensed acid water
- Longer life span, hard wearing spark plugs for gas engines and particularly effective in bio-gas engines
- The DENSO double iridium (DDI) technology extends the spark plug’s life span and requires less maintenance than competitor plugs
